Well I just finished fixing the vanity mirror
that had a broken lid on the '76 Crimson Tide (eldo. cnv.). So I naively replaced the whole sun visor with a matching, excellent condition used one only to find I loosened the visor mount that has no ability to be tightened whatsoever. Really. A mere 8 hours later and the entire windshield header taken apart and reinstalled, soldering a new connection and wiring to the mirror, a vise to crush the pot metal mount to stop the handle from spinning so the visor won't dangle like a limp dick off a three day binge of Cialis, which firmed up nada; so a sledge hammer to the fucker finally stopped the spinning. Really. Oh yeah, also a week to get two plastic pieces that insert into the rod to hold the visor in place, and a trip to the hardware store to find a longer screw, bolt, nut, washer in stainless to over tighten the crap out of it so I will never have to touch it again. Oh I forgot it blew the fuse about three times which of course requires aerobics to get under the wheel and dash to replace.
Never again. Really.
