He also went on to say that he agreed with some of the administration's actions/positions and disagreed with others, but felt is was inappropriate to elaborate given his position as an insider. A completely honorable guy who earned my respect, for whatever that's worth.
he was a snowballer for the nimrod in charge.

My intention is not to make light of the man nor to dishonor the manner of his death. I didn't know him, all I saw was the 2-D guy talking on TV. To me, reading a personality from a TV appearance is little more than projection of one's own perspectives onto the individual.

I got a clue about Snow lat night that I found very engaging. Greta Van Susteran had Ian Anderson on the phone talking about Tony Snow. I would never have considered the remotest possibility of those lives intersecting, but Anderson spoke very generously of Snow.

Truth is of course, I don't know Ian Anderson, either. But their interests and lives seemed so wildly different that I believe a relationship between them reveals a depth to Tony Snow that previously had eluded me. Good for Snow. And good for Ian Anderson.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and that’s what I intend to reverse.

It's always sad to see someone die at that age, but I had more respect for him before he became an Official Liar for the Bush administration.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
