To Honor Bush's Legacy

It's time. Time to begin to think about what we want to do to fully honor Bush's Legacy. While he, himself has done much, from Iraq to the crumbling Economy to molesting the Constitution to embarrassing this great Nation at every possible turn, he needs something from us, his peeps.

For nearly eight years I have been watching this man as he has wandered through his job and been mystified at just how he got here, how he is where he is and what it all means. Through all of the observation there has been an air of familiarity about everything - something that I have seen before. But it took this long for it to finally sink in.

And then came the idea. I think you will like it.

In both the Military world and the Corporate world we live under the concepts of the Peter Principle. It is loosely defined as:
"the principle that "In a Hierarchy Every Employee Tends to Rise to His Level of Incompetence." While formulated by Dr. Laurence J. Peter and Raymond Hull in a humorous book which also introduced the "salutary science of Hierarchiology" "inadvertently founded" by Peter, their 1968 The Peter Principle, the principle has real validity.

The principle holds that in a hierarchy members are promoted so long as they work competently. Sooner or later they are promoted to a position at which they are no longer competent (their "level of incompetence"), and there they remain. Peter's Corollary states that "in time, every post tends to be occupied by an employee who is incompetent to carry out his duties" and adds that "work is accomplished by those employees who have not yet reached their level of incompetence"
For more indepth, go to the Wiki or Google for a full immersion.

Peter Principle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Now, my IDEA is very simple. We simply start a petition nationally that CHANGES "The Peter Principle" to "Principle-W". Sort of like Preparation H, well a lot like Preparation H but in an "honorifical" kinda way [see what I did there?].

So, all we really need is just a bunch of signatures from across the country. We know we won't get the Shrinking28 but frankly, that is ONLY 28% [actually closer to 23% now but I don't want to change the Shrinking28 Franchise].

So, kiddies, you know what to do. If we do this right, we will have it done by Christmas or 012009 at the latest.

It's the LEAST we can do.

Peace, Out!

Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.

For God's sake bear, the man you are disrespecting and attempting to make fun of is the President of the United States of America--elected to that office twice by the American people. If you hate him and what he stands for (America) that much why the hell don't you just leave?

That isn't cute! And it sure as hell isn't funny!!

Don't believe everything you think

Did you leave the country between 1992 and 2000? If not, why not?

I'm sorry Jay, but I can't stand Bush or anything about the man. President or not. I didn't vote for him nor would I have. He's been a lame brain since day 1. If ignorance is bliss he's one happy fella. And when he is out of office I'll be one happy gal.

And, yes I have been looking into moving out of the country due to the present state of affairs.

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

Hell NO! And I did not ever disrespect our country or even our lame-dick President during his tenure. The reason why is because I love our country!

Don't believe everything you think

The fact that you never voted for President Bush, and "never would have," makes you a bit less than objective. But I sincerely hope you don't leave the country. You would be missed!

I could not vote for someone who I did not believe a word they spoke. It's just not in me. If the way the US is going I would move my family to a different country. But, I would continue to harass all of you in cyberspace.

My objectivity has nothing to do with party lines and such. It has more to do with being able to spot an idiot when I see one or at least listen to one speak.
This is another reason I did not vote for Bush and I do believe in the death penalty.

In his five years as governor of Texas, the state has executed 131 prisoners -- far more than any other state. Mr. Bush has lately granted a stay of execution for the first time, for a DNA test.
In answer to questions about that record, Governor Bush has repeatedly said that he has no qualms. "I'm confident," he said last February, "that every person that has been put to death in Texas under my watch has been guilty of the crime charged, and has had full access to the courts."

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.
