Ear flappers

By now it is fairly well established that we share our residence with two dogs, a Jack Russell Terrier (17 lbs.) and a Rhodesian Ridgeback (85 lbs.).

When they do that head shake thing that all dogs do as in the following picture...

I can easily tell which dog is flapping by the sound made due to the difference in the shape of their ears and their size.

If you have two dogs of similar size and breed, can you tell the difference in the sound of their ear flaps?

Just wondering.

BTW...how about cats? Snakes and lizards, not so much.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Lots of variables in place here. For instance the type of cock ring, the fit, the size, the width, the length, all this comes into play when considering the noise when... Oh wait... Opps.

Oddly enough I can relate. One of my dogs has very short fur and her ear flapping sounds more like slapping. The other is long hair and his ear flapping sound like a helicopter.

Between the two of them I estimate roughly 5 linear feet of ear. They were hired by some hot shot Hollywood Foley artist to provide sound for the flying scenes in this epic film.

Seamus does that like crazy anymore...he's had a lot of ear infection problems, and develops hematomas in his ear flaps. Goes in for surgery for them today. Goofy dog...
