moving the ball
Dang kiddies, the Shrinking28 is well...starting to look like a dot in the rear view mirror, getting smaller as every mile goes by.
So the question is, Is Obama actually moving his core positions or are people finally realizing, after the spotlight of the campaign has shown that he is not the far left liberal that the Rushites were saying all along?
One way to find out would be to have read his books and position papers instead of assuming what the popular press is saying is complete.
may want to have a look at his congressional voting record then. obama is the most left candidate we've seen in a long time if not ever.
I know I'm in a minority here, but I believe Obama is making a grave error with his subtle little shifts toward the right. McCain is seen as a true centrist, thus is not that great a leap for most voters. Obama needs to continue to paint McCain as a neocon Bushie, and he needs to distance himself from that position as much as possible, or he is going to lose a lot of lukewarm support.
Well, the Iraq thing may be a bag of hot air for the most part (we shall see), but Obama has been making overtures to the religious right of late, which is enough to turn my stomach sour.
yup on both. he is shifting evere so slightly. it is not imagination but that is what i see too.
Gitmo, Okinawa, Deutschland, Green Zone(!), Greenland, etc.
Oh, we're playing semantics. Guess what? The bases in the U.S. are not permanent either.
So there! (sticks tongue out)
lol.. permanent they are but someone forgot Turkey too and US is working on having more land in Poland amongst other places.
i have never been a fan of 'world's policemen' either.. the founding fathers said some highly insightfull thing on this subject; most of that is oh so very true even though they thought this up ~250 years ago. we have shockingly dumbed-on-down since then.
