The reversal on Iraq is a big concern for me. It's one of the few things a President can control directly, on a whim. If his whim is to bring them back, they're coming back. If it's not, they're going to stay, and that equates to a lot more blood and money. If the Democrats and Republicans have an identical policy with regard to Iraq, then I'm voting Republican, for all the other reasons.

Let me just go further to say that if Obama has in fact lost sight of this now that he's cinched up the Democratic nomination, he's a total fucking fool and undeserving of the post.

His position there wasn't just effective to separate himself from the other Democrats, it separated him from every other candidate (except Ron Paul, and maybe one or two other nobody's). Reversal here is, at best, foolish...at worst, indicative of yet another politician who will say anything (no matter how eloquently) to get elected.

Actually my bad and I am going to burst your bubble, I went back and read what was said in the "Now that Was a Speech" thread and I did accuse Multipurpose for being a racist. I think that's how that impression got stuck in my head. You see, I am a bigger man and I admit that it was an impression that stuck. After reading the thread, I found his comments idiotic but not really racist. So, Multipurpose would you accept my apology for having called you a racist? I still think you're thick between th ears though, but that's another matter.

One can only take the bullying so long, then comes the day you turn around and smack him square on the nose and watch him bleed.

Apparently you have a lot of class for responding this way after I admitted that I made a mistake. hmm, why am I not surprised?

He is a politician who was either lying then for political expediency or is lying now for the same reason. What, pray tell, did you expect?

Audacity.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thatís what I intend to reverse.
