Too bad about that libertarian part. It screws up the acronym.

Me thinks that definition might just need re-written. Try again.
The kind of NeoLib I am talking about is basically a liberal fascist. There is a good book out there you should read. You will recognize yourself and many others here. The book was scrupulously researched and describes the economic and political history of fascism, making the case that (1) European fascism was originally a left-wing, socialist, populist movement, and (2) the American counterparts of the European fascists were the progressives. As Goldberg patiently explains, over and over, the fact that the modern political left has the same intellectual roots as Europe’s fascists who emerged in parallel with American progressives about 100 years ago.

I hate to tell you bear, but you are not an original--just a run of the mill fascist. Check it out...

Actually, I have the book. I have read it. Try again. And I am somewhat mixed about Jonah. On the one hand his writing is pretty hard biased to the right [or normal to you] but on the other hand, he did say:
Quote:
"Regarding Fox News, Goldberg said, "Look, I think liberals have reasonable gripes with Fox News. It does lean to the right, primarily in its opinion programming but also in its story selection (which is fine by me) and elsewhere. But it's worth remembering that Fox is less a bastion of ideological conservatism and more a populist, tabloidy network."
I think you might want to actually READ that book and note his comments. It is not all that the review suggests. I believe you will find the book was a response to the comparisons of the NeoCon movement to Fascism.

See, I think we knew that about you, despite your sometimes self-proclaimed liberalism.

You might be surprised to hear we scored identically, you and I.

It is everyone else that seems to proclaim me a liberal. I have always thought I wandered through the middle. It would be hard to be a Second Amendment supporting, War Veteran, Fiscal Conservative, Efficient Government Liberal. It just doesn't fit.

But then there is that Union thing...
