This is your "PROOF" it's a transcript and an opinion of that transcript. Nothing in the transcript is saying we gave any approval. One of the points I would like to show as being very suspect:
Although the full extent of U.S. assistance to Iraq during the period remains unknown, it was purportedly substantial;
And how do you get that we approved of Saddam's attack on Kuwait from this:
We can see that you have deployed massive numbers of troops in the south. Normally that would be none of our business, but when this happens in the context of your threat s against Kuwait, then it would be reasonable for us to be concerned. For this reason, I have received an instruction to ask you, in the spirit of friendship - not confrontation - regarding your intentions: Why are your troops massed so very close to Kuwait's borders?
If we gave Saddam "substantial" assistance then why were all the weapons he used in the gulf war made in the Soviet Union? How do you give a country at war substantial assistance and not give them weapons? There is a lot of revisionist history going on here.
Man I tell you I am getting very sick and tired of all the bull shit about America. America is the only country in the history of human affairs to ever conquer another country and then rebuild that country and give it back to the people of that country. And we did that for many countries. And we made them better places for the people that live there, remember there are no more death camps in Germany. The reason Germany is an economic force in Europe is because we rebuilt them. The proof of this is just over what is left of the wall. East Germany is a slum. And the same goes for Italy. We rebuilt it and it's an economic force in Europe.
In Japan before the war there was a movement to develop a constitutional government, you know a government that actually give rights to people. A few years ago they found some of the drafts of this constitution in a shed in the middle of a rice paddy. They hid it there because if they were found out they would be executed. Well the reason it was still there decades later is they were found out and they were executed. MacArthur, and his staff that included a women that wrote the part about woman's rights in Japan, forced a constitution to be voted on by the Japanese people. It was the first time in the history of Japan that the common person could vote for anything. The constitution was overwhelmingly approved.
But the current Anti-American forces in the world today are the result of attempts by the KGB to undermine this great nation. And this isn't just my words but the words of the highest ranking member of the KGB to ever defect to the west, Ion Mihal Pacepa. He was the chief of Romanian Intelligence under the KGB. Here is a link to something he wrote that I think would be good for all to read.
Ion Mihai Pacepa on Antiwar Movement on National Review Online
Now compared to an article in wikipedia that anybody could write, including Marxist that hate America, I think that this link is much better proof of the long lasting effects of the Cold War's anti American programs. And please follow the link included in the article. Don't be duped by the hard line communist that are still fighting the Cold War with lies.
And if you really want a shock you should read more of Pacepa's writings. I saved the letter he wrote to the Wall Street Journal about how it was he that setup Arafat to be the head of the PLO as an operative of the KGB. And how it was Arafat that invented the suicide bomber. If I get a chance to scan it I will and make it available to others.
