Another attempt on your part to discredit what I wrote without any substantial evidence to the contrary. In fact,
- I have hired employees under affirmative action guidelines in a government funded program.
- I have worked in sales where the government sends in "shoppers" to see if minorities receive adequate service.
- And as a licensed Realtor and landlord, I'm subject to the same shopping when I have rental availability,
so I'm very familiar with the rules in my own interest.
The issue is not about quota hiring for gays, but government regulations that force a religious organization to act against its principles. Those rules were waived under Bush; Obama has promised to enforce them. That could cripiple his good intentions.
Drink another cuppa before shooting blanks.
First you are drawing some very strong conclusions from a program for which you don't know details. Second, your list of three items is really two different issues.
Your first item, an Affirmative Action item is not an issue in any of this, it is a red herring you are bring up. PERIOD.
The second and third items are discrimination issues and they SHOULD be brought up and fully enforced. There is nothing wrong with the enforcement of anti-discrimination laws. As long as YOU are fair to 100% of the people you don't have to worry about them at all. Are you suggesting that we should discriminate against some folks either in retail or real estate just because they are minorities?
And the evidence that I have to discredit your comments is that there has been NOTHING to suggest any of the scare scenarios you throw up as little roadblocks. You have not read the Obama Initiative, don't know what rules he intends to restore and are just trying to shoot from the hip. And failing.
