Did Commerce fail to mention that 10+% increase in food prices and 11.7% increase in retail gasoline during that same quarter. Because they also helped account for that nice 1% annualized pop.
Of course the annualized inflation is projected [by the very same Commerce Department's BLS] at 4.2-4.5%.
That would be a net loss of...
To summarize kiddies, the only reason the Q1 Growth number is a positive number instead of a negative number is because OIL and FOOD INFLATION is running at double digits [not even annualized]. The other item actually mentioned by our wonderful spinmasters at Commerce - US Products overseas - is due to a Dollar that is in the toilet.
And it all is erased and eroded by inflation which is 4.5X growth. Break out the fireworks!!!
