Bucket List

What things are on your list to do before you kick the bucket?

Serious:
Travel to Europe and Australia unfettered by a job (my only adventure thus far was for the job, to Germany, and there was no time to enjoy the sites and culture).
Driving trip across this great country I already live in.
Bust a 100 in golf without culling holes (I don't play now, but like to watch people who can).
Get certified in scuba.
Maybe learn to fly a plane.
Set my sons up with a college education in the field of their choosing.
See one more election where candidates run for something that isn't nebulous (like "change") instead of against everything. Might have to run myself.

Not so serious:
Install those gutters I bought from Yosey.
Lead McBear to the truth and the light on how to apply the COTUS (he will be a very valuable resource to the collective once he's assimilated, his research capabilities are unparalleled, the conclusions about the state of affairs are usually sound, he just needs better, non-governmental solutions).
Introduce CLK to mini-kegs

Tour the country in an RV with a vintage racer or two.
Break 80, preferably from the tips, at as many courses as possible.
Visit the UK for about a month.
Attend every F1 race in a season, or at least one race at every current track.
Do a lap of better than 10 minutes at the Nurburgring Nordscheife in something fun.
Play keys in my own band.
Take a second honeymoon someplace tropical. Us, the water, maybe a little beach or private island, and a stocked kitchen - that's it.
Revive my entrepreneurial spirit; maybe by opening another nightclub.

Man that Lortab rolls up on you like a 4,000 HP Rolls Royce...

I thought id pushed my last daisy and had fulfilled all my ambitions. Ive served in the Army for 12 years and travelled the globe, ive run my own bussiness and gone bankrupt. Ive jumped from perfectly serviceable aircraft.

Ive had four children and now there is a grand child. I have a new young wife and am still friends with the first one. I could go on for two pages or more but today just had me gob smacked.

Well this is not finalized yet but today i was asked to become the General Manager of a Mercedes/BMW specialist and also asked to start the proceedings with the Hong Kong dealer for a new dealership in China with Porsche phew

And to think i was giving up the biscuit and ready to quit on life, who knows what we can achieve if we keep on knocking.

CLK Man dont give up on your wife or your future Down side is ill have to give up drinking and smoking (at least for now)

Dont you just love the way life twists and weaves

ERIC.

^ Glad to hear it Eric, congrats! Although I'm sure the excess drama that surrounded the past week or so wasn't helpful...

You and yours may be happier overall by keeping a more even keel during good and bad times. It's certainly made a difference in my life.

Thanks for that, but we are a strong couple and she is verrrrrry level headed. Except that part of the month when i have to accept a few slaps This last week was almost the straw that broke the camels back and i was ready to give in.

She would not let me, she gave me a few days to drink myself sober and then talked to me straight, she is no fool and her younger thinking is a help.

She is now taking the old company to court and the solicitor reckons we can get approx RMB 60,000 in compensation. I dont like to do this but they were struggling and loosing money when i joined them and now they are making millions so why boot me? IDIOTS thats all i can say and i want to forget them.

But the new job is partly because of what i achieved in the old one, people talk here and its like a family community. Who knows what the morning will bring, simply keep a positive attitude and the world is your oyster

ERIC.

Congrats Eric. Glad you shook it off and are landing on your feet. Sounds like a great job opportunity.
