If you fear the taxman you have to make a choice. Stop spending. The hole we are in, should we attempt to address it by merely stopping spending would likely drop us into a third world style infrastructure, with the rampant corruption that comes with that kind of ineffective government.

You can't live the high life of the world leader without paying the taxman. There was a time when we as a nation were more concerned with getting our own shit straight, and less with telling the world what to do. With guns and bombs and illegal invasions.

The world is more complicated now, a lot as a result of our own doing, much of it by "conservative" GOP Presidents and a compliant GOP run Congress. So, either pay the taxman or choose to have the US step aside. Let someone else be the super power and police the world because we cannot afford it. If facing the situation we are in head on is viewed as a valid reason to fear Obama, this nation is in for some tough times. Jim

I see you're buying into the same bullshit that it's only the Republicans who are at fault. You seem to forget that for the last 2 years, your party has continued the drunken sailor streak that began decades ago. Give it a rest. Until every last one of those fucktards are voted out and replaced, it will continue.

So, you supported those who would have ended the war by unfunding it?

We have plenty of money. It's just that the people in charge of it are irresponsible, greedy, and wasteful.

Stop giving it to your wife and kids, then.

How about less fucking gov't? Ya know, that radical idea the founding fathers had in mind in the first place? Socialism is great for little city states where everyone is about the same anyway on the bell curve. Terrible for diverse cultures of huge proportions.

Yeah, everyone wants smaller government until they realize that part of that bargain means giving up their own personal piece of the pie. I recall you met Ron Paul's candidacy with a great deal of mistrust and apprehension, and he has probably been the most consistent legislator on all of Capital Hill over the past twenty years or so. People are inherently fearful of change.
