The dollar is close to making a decent bottom.
We don't know that. Folks were trying to make that same claim in January 2005 and January 2007.
Fundamentally we have no evidence that supports a strengthening of the dollar. If the economy improves and we can get our trade balance improved, that will help but every day we bring in $100+barrel Oil and every container headed for Walmart from China and India diminishes that opportunity for the strengthening.
There is a good change that the Dollar will only get stronger against the Euro should the EU start to show further signs of recession and weaken. Then it will be one of those "I am getting faster because you are getting slower" things, not an actual strengthening of the Dollar.
