That's one data point.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and that’s what I intend to reverse.

Not just from sun exposure, from temperature change, dirt, and just plain ol' age. The plastic will fail long before metal. Time isn't so much an enemy of metal as it is of plastic. Corrosion on the other hand...

The more advanced equipment you fit to a car the more likley it is to go wrong and that is exactly what happened with the year 2000 introduction of the W220 S Class. They put too many, new ideas into one car and it went sadly wrong.

They have fitted even more advanced electronic equipment to the W221 S Class so only time will tell if this is the next dissaster or a winner

Not only electronics but most of the body shell has no iron in it, BMW have gone down the same road with the 7 Series. As of now I find the 7 Series more reliable, but time will tell.

ERIC.
