Looking at the facts here, I find myself sitting on the fence and looking at both sides of the argument.
The only thing he did wrong was become a member of the nazi party. On the other hand he was a doctor who was committed to saving lives and not killing people. Also he admitted his nazi past and has not been convicted of any crime.
I still believe in the saying, innocent until proven guilty. Simply being a member of a political oranization is not, in itself, a crime.
Also, as Vonny has already pointed out, the Americans and to a lesser extent the Brits and Russians could not get enough of their scientists after the war. This move was a little hypocritical dont you think. Rocket teams helped the war in killing people. But a Nazi doctor?
he was an accessory to murder, at the least.. pure and simple.
the difference between the bomb makers and those who staid is that the bomb makers were against german agression and thus helped thwart it. not even close to the ssame thing.
