That is an improvement, and pretty good compromise over "one delegate, NO vote" which is what the Florida and Michigan party officials set their delegates [and voters] up for when they scheduled their primaries against the rules.

I get a kick watching who wants to "play by the rules," and under what circumstances and how/who defines the rules, and which ones should count and when. The dem's have turned this into a not-so-fine art. What a mess...

Actually, there seems to be a fairly consistent rhythm. DNC wants to play by the rules but is pragmatic enough to know that a compromise to insure that all states are seated is smarter. The Clinton camp is grasping at straws and is throwing rules out the window in order to try and get delegates.

I figure the compromise will come back to haunt the DNC in the 2012 Primary season if they don't button down the rules even tighter and put a sudden death clause into the rules for the candidates. THAT would have eliminated the issue this time. They focused on penalizing the states and voters instead of the candidates who campaigned and ran in states that had illegal Primaries.

The one who comes out looking really professional in all of this is Obama. His team has been consistent from day 1.

Got it!

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thatís what I intend to reverse.

In typical style, the Florida Dems are blaming the Republican controlled legislature for changing the primary date.
