Free market capitalism works everywhere

Food Gobbles Up Aghans' Income as Prices Soar : NPR

Today's "well, how about that" headline comes from Afghanistan, where food prices are so high that farmers are moving out of the drug trade and into wheat

"But the crisis may encourage some farmers to move out of the drug trade and into wheat."

which is just a speculation. afghani soil is not really any good for wheat production. btw. so your heroine will be more but that's about it.
