I thought the last one was handled horribly. That was real hazing.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address

You have a point. There are some folks on here whose immaturity boggles the mind. I prefer not to imagine how they find love in their own lives.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thatís what I intend to reverse.

I think that or just equal BS is fine. I find where it falls apart is that folks go down the sexual innuendo route pretty quick. The poster then tries to be "one of the boys" until it gets just too deep and they they tend to say F'it and back off the board.

Most can handle the give and take face to face as everyone can see body language and most of the guys wouldn't say quite the same things in person but online just has a way of things spinning out of control without it really being anyone's fault. It just happens.

So far, my immaturity appears to be creating a critical mass...I can almost feel it's inexorable movement forward. Someday it will surely end up paying a handsome dividend--don't fuck with my karmic kalculations, dude.

I have found that internet personas and real life personas are often so different that just about anything is possible.

I met up with one guy that I had known on another board and he was one of the more rambunctious members of the board. He was reluctant to meet but I was going to be in Seattle and he agreed. Turned out he was minister of a small Presbyterian Church. He had never posted up dirty stuff or obscene comments but was always very deep and passionate in political, economic, social, environmental and other conversations that mattered [never afraid to call someone a feckless moron or lacking the sense to get out of the rain]. To this day no on else on the board has a clue what he does.

We should refuse any potential members whose bells don't go jingle jangle jingle. That's my dos cents.
