I just purchased a very nice 1994 Q45T. Its used but I wanted to get ya'll opinion. I got it practically free, with new tires, belts, tensioner. More work to be done later.

I was just reading about this in the W210 section. It is an interesting car - not all that common. More of a BMW competitor than an MB/Lexus competitor. They're supposed to have a harder edge to them.
I remember when Infiniti came to the North American market and their advertising campaign didn't even show the car. That probably contributed to why you picked up a good car for almost free. Good for you
What ever happened with your insurance company and your E320?
Is that the one with the clock in the middle of the dash. For whatever reason, I still remember a TV commercial from back then where the pitch-man kept going on and on about how the clock placement was an example of their commitment to innovative thinking.

Great car! One of the best sedans ever made! For the money probably the very best. Better than the comparable LS400 and I owned both way back when.

"It's only a state of mind."

Nissan had a real revival in Japan at the very end of '80's. They were on a roll then. One of their upscale sedans, Cefiro, became basis of one of the early Infiniti models sold here.
Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, its an amazing car and great to look at. It is very pricey to maintain but thats what you get with top end luxury. As far as the insurance and the E-Class goes, I decided not to fight them and just pay the car off. I called my bank and they said I have been doing well with my payments and will more then likely pick up another car loan for me so getting another Mercedes is in my future. I just wanted to finish the payments on the E-Class before financing another car, which I could have done with my money but opted not to carry the balance to another loan. Which would have meant 5 more years of financing. I have a year left on the E-Class out of 5 years of financing back to back on two cars.
I thought it would be smarter to just buy another car till the other is payed off. Give it about a year before getting into another loan or not financing a car again till I'm married or I have no other choice or have more then 1/2 down to do so.
Financing a car is great for building credit, but once thats been accomplished it doesn't make financial sense to give away 100's of dollars a month which can be going into a savings account, my only ROI is good or better credit.
I purchased the Q45T as a weekend and holiday driver car, seeing as I don't live far from my job any more. I just finishing detailing the Q45T really good and the Pearl White shines great, no fading in the paint. I also just cleaned the MAF and have some more work to do seeing as its used. I will post pics soon. A lady friend of mine thought the center clock was nice, as it illuminates at night giving it a very classy look in the cabin.
All in all I really like the Q45T and will hold on to it as long as I can. If anything ever happened to it I wouldn't have to worry about just dumping it, because the price I got for it was so low that even if it broke down or was totaled in six months I wouldn't have lost on the cost of transportation. I realistically see my self driving the Q45T for about a year seeing as it does have hi-miles, but lower miles then my E-Class.
I would love some Carlson rims on her to make her even that much more classy looking, but I am not going to do anything but basic maintenance before aesthetics.
