Help me out choosing a route for my road trip!

This homeless migrant worker is wrapping up the work in Minnesota and heading back to Bay Area, California on Memorial Day. Call me crazy, but I have decided to drive back. Need to make a quick stop at St. Louis, MO and here are my possible routes after St. Lunatic.

Route I
St. Paul, MN – St. Louis, MO – Kansas City, MO – Denver, CO – Salt Lake City, UT – Reno, NV – San Jose, CA

Route II
St. Paul, MN – St. Louis, MO – Kansas City, MO – Cheyenne, WY - Salt Lake City, UT – Reno, NV – San Jose, CA

Route III
St. Paul, MN – St. Louis, MO – Kansas City, MO – Oklahoma City, OK – Albuquerque, NM – Las Vegas, NV – San Jose, CA

All these routes have range from 2,700 to 3,000 miles with approximately 46 to 48 driving hours. Which routes should I take? Any inputs would be appreciated!

After make a decision on a route, will update progress on W202 section.

Thank you!

Take the most scenic and extend the trip. Enjoy what our country has to offer, you will not regret it!

I've pretty much traveled the whole country by car and unless you actually stop at each state and do shit, it all looks the fucking same on the highway.

The further north you go the prettier it will be as far as those routes go. That being said the interstate sucks for views and scenery regardless.

That's the problem with our society, we all think we are too important and busy like hell. Please deflate the ego and enjoy the scenery, be one with nature and enjoy a beer or whatever poison you like while watching the sunset on some mountain range or desert.
