Congratulations, Shane! You have won the award for the most stupid-ass comeback on a Off Topic forum! With this award you shall receive a year's supply of Preparation H and Depends for those untimely awkward moments that creep up on you while you post. Keep up the hard work! People are talking!

Reason: I had to emphasize stupid.

To interject interfrastically why a "white Crown Vic"
Is this normal ?
How many Crown Vic's does he have?
I never but never would qualify the car I am driving by the colour
Am I missing something??

It's a first generation, and I haven't driven the latest versions. The ergonomics are absolutely atrocious. The steering wheel and shifter stalk hide all sorts of buttons on the dash, and I hate having to focus my gaze toward the center of the dash in order to see the speedometer. The ride is choppy and skittish over rougher terrain. Typically sees 40mpg, at least that's what the computer readout indicates. Makes for a decent company car or around the town beater, though. I just don't like Japanese cars--period
I had a 91 Dodge Colt that regularly got well over 40mpg, small 4 cyl and a 4speed....and that was with the ac running, however, it was substantially lighter than the civics of today. An older lady turned left in front of me and I hit her at about 25mph, thought I was going to die(was wearing my seatblet), but the car did really well structurally although her insurance company totaled it.

New car.... 2001 Jaguar XJR!!!!
My old '80 Rabbit diesel with 275k routinely got 40mpg, without even trying. Hell, my midsize '96 Passat tdi used to get 38mpg. I think the hybrid stuff is a bit gimicky

Not cost effective when pen placed to paper, but lower emissions if city driving is the norm.
