This should come as no surprise to you Eric...........

That's what I find difficult to understand. If I may ask, what drove you to choose less rather than more freedoms as a lifestyle? If my government denied access to the BBC as a terrorist organization (among other curtailments of freedom) I would be forced to either work against that government or leave. Note that I am not necessarily referring to indigenous peoples here, who might find either of these avenues far more difficult than would you.

Actually, never mind -- if you're happy, you're happy. In the final analysis, I guess that's what matters.

No, Robert, its no suprise to me but I hope the penalty for these crooks is very severe indeed. In fact this is one time when i would not oppose the death penalty and a firing squad would be too dammed swift.

Interestingly, what would be the penalty (in America) if officals cut corners on school buildings that resulted in the death of so many children.?

Personally, I would hope for the minimum of the death penalty, full stop.

Actually some of the rubbish published by so called dependables is better not read. Its good to see that Myanmar is now going to allow foriegn aid workers But if they did not then China would be blamed for that

It most certainly has sparked anger here and all cinema owners have agreed to boycot her movies. As was pointed out earlier in this thread thousands of tibetan people died in this Quake.

I am sure the Lama feels just as sad about this as the rest of us. For a 50 year old actress to make a comment like this is beyond belief

I'm confused: Is karma in the kabbalah?

Don't worry folks: When a religious nut publicly tangles with a commie regime, we cannot lose!

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and that’s what I intend to reverse.

Weeeelllllll, the Lama is not a religious nut, in fact he is more political than GWB. I think he has forgot what relegion means. On the opposite side, they are not commies anymore or have you not heard the term socialists with chinese thinking
