Damn dude, you look younger than me (with the exception of the crazy eyes). In the 70's I was driving my thumb straight into my mouth.

In the early-mid 1970s, my Father was at Wayne State driving a 1969 Mach-1(gold over black, likely listening to loud rock)and Mother was in Ohio at High-School(driving a green 1973 VW sedan-- no doubt listening to Air Supply, which continued well-into my own childhood.)

By the late 70's, Dad had moved-on-up to an Olds Toronado, and Mother was staying home with my elder siblings, and didn't have a car anymore.

But, if what was I driving in 1996 when I got my license counts... My test was taken in a 1996 neon sunroof sedan(white with matching hubbie caps-- adorable) and when I got home, there was a 1987 Ford Taurus(Robin's egg blue over medium blue corduroy) with a CD Player waiting for me.

First CD played: Alanis Morisette, Jagged Little Pill.

Is this a joke? Even if it is-- Fun stuff

An all-red tricycle

Then a shiny blue pedal car with orange corner lights and a three-point star.
But it wasn't as fancy as this one (I still remember its ugly orange corner lights):

But I was driven around in a Hillman then a mazda.
