Thick skull

Its official, I have a thick skull.
A teenage girl came zipping out a driveway, and even being in the far lane, I had no time to even push the break pedal. I managed to get my foot on it though.
I was driving a 1971 Plymouth Scamp with a nice 318cu 9:1 compression engine, and the teenager was in a Toyota. I broad sided the Toyota on the engine compartment, and while the Plymouth stayed in its lane, the Toyota spun out. The girl was saved from serious injury by 2 deployed airbags.
My right knee is banged up, my chest apparently bent the steering wheel out of shape, and my head actually cracked the windshield.
I am not sure whether I feel closer to God or not.
Cheers

Girls and knees will heal. how's the Scamp? Word to the wise, don't mention the .318 to the authorities, you were simply tooling along on an errand to purchase roses for your grandmothers grave when this crazed teenager blasting that confounded disco music flew out in front of you. Although you were only going 24 mph. you applied full brakes, however it appears her lava lamp became airborne and cracked your windsheild causing temporary blindness.

Wow, first the car with the uninsured Mexicans that clipped you recently, and now THIS...

CLEARLY her fault if the girl "ZIPPED" out of a driveway, you had the right of way.

You get a Police report? This is a BI
claim. Keep a daily diary
of your injuries. You will need it to collect.

Visit an MD tomorrow.

She is going to get advice from her stupid friends blaming YOU for what SHE did. I bet the stoopid beyotch was texting on her f**king cell phone when that happened

Damne teenagers.

If her car is new enough for airbags probably it has insurance.

Was the car you had a beater, or some restored gem? It makes a difference.

If the Police report, and there WAS one, right? - puts her at fault, then RENT a car for amonth while you take your time shopping around for a replacement Dodge Scamp (This will take some time!!!) and you will have to be reimbursed for that, too......

I am sorry you got hurt.

Mmmm hmmm, maybe your next car should be bigger, safer and newer.

(1977 Cadillac coupe de Ville, lolololol)

Keep us posted. You should get a NICE pain and suffering on this one.

Don't take crap on this from ANYONE. Good luck, and keep us fully informed.

It was clearly her fault.
The 'American Iron' 9:5 comp. 318 with astro glide tranny and a short rear really grew on me.
It had the not too legal twin point Mallory distributor too.
It's a completely different ride, and the mpg were in the single digits, but it was a lot of fun to blow the doors off MB S500's, no kidding. I got to see quite a few very surprised faces.
Cheers

The ambulance was there, but I had a number of people waiting at my business for their weekly re stocking.
Some came from 60 miles and more away, and I had to be there in person.
I'll have the Doc check me out tomorrow.

Man, Pilsner Urquell tastes good.

Yeah it sure does. There is nothing better in the way of beer...and this from someone who generally HATES beer

Hey, I hope you were NOT drinking it at the time of the accident.

If you were that could change things a LOT. And *not* for the better.

lolololol

Glad to know you're up and around Teutone.

Next time you're tooling around with less-than-legal hardware, might as well include a Desert Eagle under the seat. Remember, idiotic teenage drivers with dinner plate-sized holes in their heads & chests don't tell lies.
