Update...I couldn't get away from work today to look. He's hauling it to a buddy's lot tonight, and has a couple people coming to look at it, but tentatively we plan to meet on Saturday if nothing happens by then. I just can't get there until then.

Finally got to go see it this afternoon. It's awful. Rust up both sides, torn dirty vinyl top, interior looks like some bum lived in it. Looks like it was hit on the right side and poorly repaired. So dirty I couldn't see the odometer. Headlights hanging out, rear bumper fillers 40% missing. Filthy fright pig.

Not exactly as represented.

Was the "butter Jesus" stolen to facilitate the fabrication of new cam shafts for one of those GM / Cadallic diesels??

Some people's idea of good condition is really quite amazing. Reminds me... Never buy a car from the NYC area as those guys beat the shit out of their cars even when they try not to. Their idea of mint is Texas and California's idea of a parts car.
