How do I feel? Reasonably happy with my life, past and present, under receding threat and with the prospect of greater prosperity in the future.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thats what I intend to reverse.

It would be in the National Interest. As was said, the cascading effect in higher prices for everything else would be stopped.

There will be no help with those damend Teexas oil hustlers in the White House though.

What a mess. NO freezes on anything ELSE though. Harsh custodial penalties for anyone in the Oil industry or their lawyers who tried to challenge it.

What do you guys think about that? Is that idea totally impossible?

We could be headed for disaster if this isn't stopped, this insane price rise with no end in sight.

Then simply declare the war is over, we won and bring all the troops home tomorrow.
This idea is very possible; Carter did just that. What was proven is that oil companies do not have to sell below cost, so the supply plummeted and the lines were very long at the stations which had gas to sell.

You really want economic trouble? Freeze prices on fuel and seize the profits of the oil companies; that is called depression.

Freezing fuel prices is economics 101, but it gives the test first and the lesson afterward.

As far as the war being fought for oil; the jury is in--that was a stupid assertion. If it were true, why don't we have more crude oil at a price we dictate?

Charter member of the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy and proud of it.

God Bless the America we're trying to create.

^ The fluctuation (read: rise) in gas & oil prices have nothing to do with supply and demand.

Once people figure that out, the solution will be pretty obvious and pretty simple.
