I took the blades off yesterday and sharpened them with my dremel.

I did wear protective eye gear.

Which attachment did you use for the job? I should probably do the same, but never had a Dremel before.

I have a very coarse sanding cone that did the trick.

I tried to look up a pic but the dremel site is shit.

The desire (need it seems) for a green lawn in areas that do not naturally support that type of landscape has always seemed silly to me. I applauded a couple of gentleman in Dallas who planted high and rolling prairie grass (do not know the specific name) in their upscale yard only to have some fools complain that it needed mowing and watering since it turned an even straw color. There was nothing wrong with the look, it was even, full, and attractive to look at even if you are a very structured landscape maven. The ignorants just couldn't handle it, the sheep are still complaining. Dallas is not a New England habitat and it is silly to try and make it so. Dallas has plenty of water usually so I guess they just say why not at this point.

Alright Shane: You 'n' me against the tide!

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thatís what I intend to reverse.

Ahem, everyone who doesn't have any type of grass lawn, please raise your hand.

So, a few things.

1) We actually have a lot of land in the USA....so why not?
2) It's tough for kids to play catch with the dogs or with pops with all the trees and underbrush left around.
3) God only knows what kind of animals & bugs can lurk around in that kind of shit.
4) Dirt + torrential rain = mud pit. Not very attractive.

In deference to desert dwellers, pouring a bunch of lava rocks (interesting how they're also found in propane barbecue grills) on the yard and calling it done isn't exactly a workable solution for the rest of the country. First of all, where it rains, lava rocks being non-absorbent don't help with the whole flooding / pool of mud thing. Secondly, and not insignificantly, rock gardens as yards are uglier than the pile of fuck Shane railed against.

So, if it's not grass, what else is a civilized society to do with the ground surrounding thier abodes??!?
