The truth behind the fastest cars on the road!
Traveling west on I Four Oh I got passed by a 996 and a couple year old WRX going around 90mph. I fall in line behind them in total security between them, the best radar detector money can't buy, and my latest Passport, the best blah, blah, blah, money can buy (Valentine has too many false reports in my opinion). So we three studs motor on for about 150 miles impressed with our steeds and our intelligence. We are three car guys, knowledgeable in high performance driving, veterans of many tracks, race cars, and wild street racing that would curl the hair of the average enthusiast and enrage the self righteous. We are in three performance vehicles, myself in a lowly STS4 V8 with magnetic shocks and all the performance offered in any GM awd.
We are outlaws. We are studs. We are above the law and justify it with out creds and our experience.
We are passed, nay blown around, by two college girls, the driver can barely see above the steering wheel of her new silver Scion coupe. They are doing a steady 118mph. I stand on my car to follow them and as I pass the WRX he is shaking his head is disbelief, and as I pass the 996 the driver turns to me, throws up his hands and laughs visibly. We all fall in line behind the girls and motor on for 200 miles.
That is the fastest I have ever seen covered on public roads for the longest distance and yes I have gone considerably faster in spurts as we all have, but for longevity the girls win.
