Benz has made far fewer design mistakes than most. The Japs in general cannot get their cars angloized enough for our collective tastes. The English can design just about anything to taste, but by Jove do not let them engineer or build it. The Germans just basically need to shoot Mr. Bangle as he is the poster boy for style for style's sake over style following engineering for engineering purposes. Mercedes has taken the Italian thing far enough as well, the Italians are not the style center of the universe, North America still is in cars and clothing, and most all consumer got to haves; we have the most consumers, at least until China spreads the wealth better. Audi is staying true to their design tradition but the large grill doesn't work due to bumper restrictions in most of the world. Porsche is styling everything right as far as I am concerned, now about their long term reliability... Ferrari's are getting just flat ugly after doing so well just ten years ago. Everyone is copying Lexus in the luxury market so why not get the Lexi? Please note they are not copying based on style they are copying based on sales and engineering.
