If we are talking about Palestinians here, the answer is pretty obvious. They are such a degenerate and obnoxious people that even their brother arabs have no interest in aiding them. They fell out with the Egyptians, the Jordanians, and the Lebanese. Even the Syrians want nothing to do with them.

Without the aid received from the US, EU and Isreal they would become extict....

iNeon,

First, a brief world about me so that you can understand my argument in a better light. I'm a Palestinian who (only visited Palestine 3 times in my whole life and) lived most of my life in a nice little Arab country. I don't drive a 500SEL in Gaza and complain about my children's safety. Mine are safe here but 1.5 million people are not safe in Gaza.

I wish it was as easy as you suggest. In 1948, when Israel occupied our town, most of my relatives moved to a then-safer place called the Gaza Strip. They left their land and homes and started anew in dire conditions. They worked hard to give their children a chance. My father's chance was an education in Egypt. But in 1967, Israel occupied Gaza and my father wasn't there then so he lost his right to return to his family, as per Israeli rules. He moved on, had a family of his own and we did just fine. As children, we never knew our relatives nor understood how hard it was for our parents to be cut off from their families. When my grandparents started to die one after the other without my parents seeing them for decades on end, I started to feel how bitter it was.

Honestly, I feel lucky for not living in this big prison called Gaza but this doesn't mean I don't feel for the poor people living there. They're like brothers and sisters to me. They're humans and deserve a better life. Israel can't go on like this and expect no resistance. To the contrary, the more pressure Israel exerts on Gazans, the bigger their resistance will be.

By the way, Israel didn't allow most young people to leave Gaza and the West Bank and that added to the misery (Now Gaza is under siege). Given the chance to find a better life, most would leave and only come back on a visit.

And how would Israel fare without the same aid?
