Depends on the level of pain and its cause. Vicodin is the most prescribed pain killer in the U.S., and it is relatively safe with 5mg of hydro and 500mg of Tylenol. Percocet and Oxycotin are prescribed for unrelenting severe pain.
Institutional propaganda continually proclaims that these pain killers are highly addictive and they can be because of their mellowing and psychotropic effects. But the fact is that if one uses these pain relievers as intended, he/she will not become addicted.
The word, "addicted" is a push word and widely, carelessly used. Bush used it in a speech about oil. "We have to get over our addiction to oil" he said. How stupid!
Nobody is addicted to oil. Oil is necessary to carry out the commerce of the fucking world!
