The man can speak all he wants, but I think his wife said it all when she said:

It tells me she was truly listening to her Pastor's words, and agreeing with them. She is Barack's wife, and will always have his ear, no matter what.
If she feels that way, you can bet Barack does as well, no matter what he might say on the campaign trail.
All I hear from this guy is change; just what kind of change is he planning?
He has never stated that, and I wonder if anyone here can say just what, with absolute or even reasonable, certainty.

It was a good speech, but then we all know he is good at speeches and not much else. I can understand most of what he said, though I believe it was all for political ends--he just wants to get elected--and not much more. I do not believe he really believed half of what he said, but even if he did, what he said will not change the fact that he spent most of his life in close association w/ that racist Rev. of hate speech. Nothing he, or anyone else, says about it will ever change the reality of his racist upbringing. If you are being intellectually honest you will have to admit that the damage is done and cannot be undone, even by his fancy specifying. It is over. He is toast. And if you don't believe me just wait for the primary results in PA.
