Ah ha, so now it all clicks!!!!! That's why Ralph didn't win back in '00--'cause Nader is a Lebanese name, and Merkins can't accept Arab/Islamic influences in their leaders. It's all so clear to me now...
I suppose if his name was Harold Washington, then things would be different, huh?

Harold Washington wouldn't work either it's too black, maybe something like Jimmy Bob or Honkey Cracker
Let's fkin elect people that are leaders, and Obama is clearly a leader, he can talk, inspire and stands for this country. I know I know it's going to hurt some feelings that we spent over a TRILLION to get rid of a Hussein over there just to get one over here but Allah works in mysterious ways
In 1980 America had just gone through Viet Nam, Watergate, Inflation, the start of the breakdown of America's MidWestern Manufacturing Machine and the Iranian Hostage Crisis.
Along came Ronald Reagan. Not particularly the best candidate to run the country, not particularly the best plan to run the country but he had one trait that nobody else had. He had the ability to communicate. The ability to bring folks together in a way that comforted them, that made them believe there was hope in their future.
Move forward 28 years. We have a Recession, Iraq, Gonzales, Lies about WMD, Gasoline at record levels, Inflation again at the door. Manufacturing has moved to other continents. Immigrants, legal and illegal are in the news. Consumer confidence is at 16 year lows.
Along comes another Communicator. Someone who suggests hope, someone who suggests a different, better direction.
We as a country have grown up enough to accept a man with a non WASP name. We have grown up enough to accept a black man. We have grown up enough to realize that sometimes 43 is better than 71 because 43 has a completely different perspective.
Whether Obama wins or not, only time will tell but he has the skillset to do one thing that no other candidate possesses and that is to pull the country together. We have had 16 years of Partisan Bullshit. It is time for that to stop and start restoring this country.
And it was one Hell of a speech. Everyone should listen, and listen with an open mind.
