On a serious note, if those people would have spent within their means they wouldn't be there. I have made way over six figures for many years, but I only aspire to live in a modest house. Don't spend more than you make, it will catch up with you.

Oh boo-hoo. Its their own damn fault for buying things they can't afford. They should have known they can't afford a $250,000 home with a job as a McDonald's assistant manager getting $10/hr.

So where was this McDonald's Asst Manager and his 250K house in this report?

I must have missed that part.

Only house they showed looked like a 125K or less house in the barrio. [LA prices].

Now, if a BANK or Mortgage Broker did loan a McD Assistant Manager $250K based on a $20K annual income there there are TWO problems. One belongs to be BANK for fraud as underwriters of the loan would never approve the loan based on accurate W2 and Income Tax papers as Fannie and Freddie require proof of sufficient income. The other problem would belong to the borrower for living above their means. Of course there could be other circumstances.

Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.

W-w-w-w-hat? In printing. Might I kindly schedule a quiet evening over dinner so that you may discuss with me your business techniques in defrauding your naive and clueless customers?

Garage
^^^

The exceedingly low office furniture budget allows a lot of cash to flow to the bottom line.

That is way too low an income for a printer. I would think a few million a year wouldn't be that arduous a task when all initiatives are considered and embarked upon without regard to criminal repercussions.

Thats where you guys are wrong. As I have posted before, If I charged every customer I ever had retail price I would be a very rich man. But I care about people. But you can't take it with you. A lot of people that come into my shop are starting a new business and they need help and encouragement. I believe that what goes around comes around. I will never be rich, but I will be happy with how I helped my customers to thrive.
