Dude, I was using YOUR definition of Fascism, YOU brought the definition to the table, not me. I simply brought ample examples where the NeoCons are very much aligned with that definition of Fascism
As for this obsession you have with Illegal. Whether they are legal or illegal a obsession of hatred toward them is in fact racist. Sorry but it is. Now, to the Illegal part. WE, as a country gave our permission decades ago for Mexicans to cross the border, do work that was needed and settle without anyone giving a shit whether they were legal or not. We continued that tradition for decades, they picked our fruit, our cotton, our tobacco, our vegetables, bused tables, built houses and buildings, dug ditches. We paid them, took taxes out of their paychecks, took taxes when they bought cloths, when they bought gas. We gave them tacit approval to be here for DECADES. Even your president Bushie welcomes them with open arms until the brown shirted NeoCons decided that they were now ILLEGAL. At some point, whether they have a green card or not, WE, as a government accepted them, made contract with them by taking their tax payments, corporations made contract with them in every form of commerce. We needed them for their work, wanted them for their money and now a few people have their panties in a wad that they are ILLEGAL. Shame on US as a nation for fucking that one up royally.
Earlier, in one of the Immigrant threads I posted a study by the California Department of Labor that showed that the Illegal population actually paid IN more than it TOOK from the system. Your concept of the Illegal population being parasitic is flawed and incorrect.
That is why, as a fiscal conservative I look at and understand the BIG PICTURE. This population provides more benefit than it receives and should we, as a country remove the ILLEGAL population from our currently Bushie addled Economy the consequences will be worse than you can possibly imagine.
Quit skirting the issue! YOU called Bush a fascist. I called you on it. It is not MY definition. It is THE definition. I won't argue that there are fascist characteristics to Bush and his cronies just as there are communist characteristics to many in the democratic party. But they do not fit the full fledged definition of fascism.
The examples you brought of how YOU think the 'neocons' (wide brush, again), as you call them, are aligned with fascism is FLAWED- period! You'll have a hard time making any kind of case on most points you stated.
As for the country giving 'permission' for the 'illegals' moving in. Just because one administration after another looked the other way does not make it right. ALL those wrongs you posted, don't make it right. I agree we, as a country, created a huge mess, but that still doesn't excuse it! It's much harder to crack down on this problem when it has been allowed to go on for so long. But, you're not going to win this fascist argument just because a crackdown may be implemented and the race happens to be Hispanic. The reason it's Mexicans is that's just who happens to be south of our border. It wouldn't be ay different if Japan was there, instead. No one is discriminating against them because they're Mexican. It's because they're ILLEGAL
