If this keeps up, at this rate, McCain will slide right in. But, you have to remember, McCain's just as liberal as a lot of Democrats, so he has a great chance.
The only thing that is an "implosion" is the Michigan and Florida primary issue and that is purely the fault of their state leadership, not the candidates or the DNC. The rest of the stuff is normal politics. The difference being that the Democrats have a Black man and a Woman as candidates which cause polarization during the primary season [this is something I don't see the Republican's worrying about for a few more decades or centuries].

Once there is a candidate the "implosion" is a non issue. The number of people who have shown up in the primaries for the democrats is nearly double previous primary seasons. This is a fired up constituency. And McCain may as well have a big ol W tattooed on his forehead as everyday will be another reminder that this is just SSDD [same shit, different dipshit]. McCain has the same Iraq policy, does not have a clue about the economy, has pissed off many of the big delegate states with his "free trade", keep nafta as it is" stance and can't even count on 1/3 of the Republican's to back him or counter attack.

Implosion? Just normal Democratic politics. This time with a fired up base.

Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.
