Windows Word Menu Bar

Does anybody know how to work Windows Word?

I need the "File - Edit - View - Insert - Format - Tools - Table - Window - Help" menu bar. Mine somehow disappeared and I can't find a way to choose it back. This is pretty frustrating.

Thanks.

Word 2007? It's hiding, but it's there. Click the button in the upper left corner.

Which version are you using and what does your screen look like? I have Word 2003 and I can turn that menu off/on my right clicking at the top and selecting "customize" then hitting the "toolbars" tab.

Mine used to disappear too when I used Office '95 over ten years ago, but I can't remember why or how to fix it. My solution was to UPGRADE! Something you might want to consider...

go to: C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
and look for normal.dot
rename it to something else - normal.dot.old for instance

open word, the default normal.dot will be there with file/edit/view etc etc

if you'd made custom changes to your normal.dot, refer back to your saved one to re-customize it

EDIT: you could delete it and download "OpenOffice.com"

I found Normal in C:\program files\microsoft office\templates.
I renamed it, but it didn't help. Still no menu line.
