Wouldn't mind to see the fine print in this contract. Say if the military withdraws most of their services in 09 then what happens. Is there a minimum that this company gets even if this thing is terminated. Considering the location of the company providing the services I would assume this contract has been crafted very interesting.

U.S. tab for translation services in Iraq could hit $4.6 billion

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Army has turned to private contractors to supply translators and analysts for Arabic and other languages in Iraq as well as other regional states.
The military has launched a five-year project meant to embed thousands of Iraqi translators into U.S. ground force units in Iraq.

The prime beneficiary of the project has been Global Linguist Solutions, based in Falls Church, Va. GLS, a joint venture of DynCorp International and McNeil Technologies, which has won a contract with a maximum value of $4.6 billion through 2013.

I think it is a typical (no this deal is not typical) setup, they can see there is possiblity that the Dems are elected to the WH and they see that they will pull out so instead of only making this contract for 1 or 2 years max they make if for 5 years with a max value? I would love to see what happens and how much a early cancellation fee for this contract is? This contract smells........

Maybe if I quit dancing I should apply as a translator. I wonder how much they pay?

Forget the fine print. Follow the lobbyists and former insiders that have left the Bush Administration early. I bet even Kevin Bacon would be Shocked and Awed.

That is one to think about it and yes it would provide the smoking gun but I don't think I care all that much where joe blow goes after he works for the administration. But wouldn't be more informative for the public to know the fine print and embarass these asses and maybe those sitting back in the adminstration now looking at this with envy thinking "thats what I am going to do in my future" will think twice about it..........
