I will have you to know, my press is a Itek 975 cpd and I challenge you to a dual, here it is, say a customer comes into your shop and mine with an order for 10,000 copies and want's it right now I believe I would win. care to accept. And please man make it to the spring meet.
Would that be 10,000 one color, 2 colors or 4/0 or 4/4? Regardless of the option, the Komori would stomp it. I promise you, you'd lose and lose miserably. For one or two colors, I'd have plates made for the Komori in less than 15 minutes and the job run in 20 min., both sides! Unless your Ryobi/Itek (same thing, you know) runs 60,000 an hour and you have electronic file capability, you might match it. Just Friday, we ran 2000 copies of a book, black 1/1 with 72 pages (that's 4 sigs and a W/T) in less than 2 hours. You know, our Komori is a 28" perfector. You've got to remember, the larger the press, the easier they are to run/manage. Plus, it has a IR dryer, so I'll be cutting the job on a programmable cutter and have it boxed, ready for pick-up while you're waiting 3-4 hours (unless it's Reflex Blue, then you're really screwed!) for yours to dry enough to cut it, without it setting off. Still want to duel?
Oh, I'll get to the spring meet if we don't have a wedding that weekend.
