Found Heineken Light in mini-keg form . . . life is good (or will be, once it's cold).
Hi Ed, didn't you mention Heineken mini kegs in previous threads.
How many kegs has it been? We won't tell.
On another note, many brands of import beer don't travel well.
I make sure to buy only non chilled cases from my favorite store, and chill in the fridge as needed, to keep it from getting bitter.
I am 'very' partial to Pilsner Urquell, IMO the benchmark for other Pilsner type brewers.
The original Czech Budweiser from the City of the same name, when it was part of Bohemia, and the Austro Hungarian Empire. Before the founders of the Anheuser Busch brewery started
the business, they liked the taste so much, that a deal was made
The Czech Budweiser is sold in the US under the name Czechvar (Trader Joe's), and the American Budweiser is sold in Europe as Bud. After the fall of communism, when Anheuser Busch tried to buy the brewery, the people of the City put out a full page ad in the local paper, with the message: "Anheuser Busch, this Bud is not for you," no kidding.
BTW, Ur Quell means ancient/old.. spring/well / Fountainhead.
