There are lots of x and lots of y. You might need to read up on the man to get a feel for where he is. It is taking me a bit to dig through all the bits and pieces.
30,000 foot answer is that he is fronting a movement of the next generation to change the same ol same ol that has put the current system in stalemate and worse. Drilling down a bit more he is focusing on those that have been ignored by the status quo of the current government.
Main thing that I see from Obama's ideas is simply a "difference". It is that intangible and that simple.
And considering that we are heading into a very big unknown - with the boomers going from revenue payers to collectors and the country addressing $600-750B in INTEREST annually on run up debt and healthcare slipping away from more and more people as jobs shift - it seems like many folks just don't trust the status quo politicians to do anything more than their current administrative masturbation. They are looking like they want a new direction and new thinking. Real Change.
The other night I listened to all the speeches after Super Tuesday. Huck, McCain, Romney, Clinton and Obama. Four sounded like they were written by speech writers from an ad agency. One sounded like a battle cry from the heart.
As everyone on this board has seen me type, I have had no idea just who to go with on this election. I have not been fully charged with anyone and even considered the concept of an independent [who I know is just a spoiler]. Tuesday night it started to jell. I heard one phrase that caught my ear. It might be corny to some, it will be zinged by the Shrinking28 but it was concise and distilled the thoughts of many who are demanding change.
