OOPSIES!!! Just got a rod-on

Reissue of the best car I've ever owned. I was 18 and it had a slapstick. I would like to take this time to apologize to the giant oak that I wrapped it around.

The 1970 Challenger, the first one, is the true classic Dodge Challenger.

The build quality was horrible, the cars were tin cans.

But the most beautiful tin cans you ever saw.

Best with the 440 Magnum or the Hemi. But you could get them with the 225 slant six, and the torqueflite automatic, about the most reliable combo around back then.

I probably watched "Vanishing Point" about 10 times.

Cas.

He didn't really 'vanish'. In the end, Barry Newman's character hits the road block so hard that he and the car are atomized into nothingness. Completely obliterated.

Also.

"The Wizard of Oz" was just a hallucinatory dream of a young girl who was hit on the head. She incorporates people from her daily life as characters in her dream.

Hope this helps.

Now that was a great car. I bought a new 1972 Celica ST. $3501.00 with A/C and tax. Quick as could be and handled very well. Very spartan by today's standards but right there with everything else in 1972.

Similar story here, except mine was a Duster and a maple tree, I think. Have yet to experience the same "pedal to the metal" feeling in any car I have ever been in, at any price. Wow, the memories. Mopar!
