I liked your little story. It reminded me of the fact that we saved Kuwaits ass and got nothing in return.

No question about that. We have too many entrepreneurial and independent folks for socialism to ever be a player.

As it is, the only folks that even begin to define anything in this Country as "socialist" [including most of the proposed health care plans] are the Mighty28 which also defines 2/3 of the Republican Party as Liberals. I am really not sure that group is the best judge of things. History suggests not.
