Have I missed McBear's post that shows the total number of Democratic votes cast todate vs. Republican?

I mean like, who's out there in the bigger numbers?

I didn't realize I was being remiss. Give me a few minutes. What I have been reading is that the dems are coming out in droves to their primaries and the republicans, not so much.

Initially that same differential was showing up in the fundraising but that seems to have closed a bit. NOT counting Mitt's $35M Loan or Hill's $5M Loan here are the raw numbers as of 1/31.

Democrats $295,767,552
Republicans $263,807,236.

Of course, a bulk of the Republican monies [65%] were to Mitt [88M] Rudy [61M] and Fred [21M] who are all out. Ouch.

You made me work for this one. I couldn't find the raw voter numbers in aggregate, except state by state, candidate by candidate.

I did NOT count the three states that have had Democratic Primaries but not their Republican counterparts [KS, ID, NM], nor did I count IOWA for either side as the rules for how delegates are reported are so different the numbers are meaningless and not associated with the number of people who showed up to caucus. This link shows that issue Election Center 2008: Primary Results - Elections & Politics news from CNN.com

Raw voter numbers as of Super Duper Tuesday for all states where both primaries have been held.

Democrat: 18,422,815

Republican: 12,600,047

Yes but you have a marvelous spreadsheet now complete with pivot tables and red and blue conditional formatting that you will treasure for the rest of this and future election seasons.

You're welcome.

What did amaze me, when looking at the twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one was just how many people came out to these primaries and took a firm stand to vote for a candidate who had already dropped out of the race OR drove out to their local precinct and decided to be Undecided.

Nothing says Democrazy quite like "What the Fuck!?!".
