Of course everything's relative, still I like seeing subversives do well.
When you are talking about the strict interpretation and practical application of the Constitution, and its principles it's not hard to posit that maybe Ron Paul is correct and all the others are more like "subversives" than Dr Paul could ever be...l

Rudy's toast. It's going to be a McCain-Hillary race.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

He won Area 51 by a large margin. I hear he has Roswell, NM sewed up for Super Tuesday.

Certainly looks that way at the moment. If it happens, I'm actually not sure how I'd vote. I agree with HRC on more issues, but I think McCain wins hands-down on the matter of personal integrity. Not that Hillary offers much of a contest in that category...

For the Repos it will be McCain & Thompson.

For the Demos it will be Clinton & Richardson.

For the rest of us it will be getting the business as usual.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thatís what I intend to reverse.

I can't see Richardson getting that far out of the gutter for VP. I was thinking on the flight home that Edwards is playing a good third as he might have to be the first VP to step UP since Johnson [not really counting Ford here] since there is bound to be at least one whackjob dumb enough to try and take out either Hillary or Obama because they haven't evolved enough to accept a woman or black.

What do you mean "step up" since Nixon was a veep and so was Bush I.

That's what I fear more than a terrorist attack -- some pinhead looking to immortalize his name by killing Obama, Hillary, or Bush. the JFK conspiracy theorists would be nothing compared to the theories that would spring-up if one of them was murdered. Worse, you'd have every terrorist group on the planet trying to get credit for it. The law-n-order crowd would demand more police powers and Congress would fall all over itself doing just that -- like they did with the "Patriot Act."

I think we can just about count on an attempt. What a disaster that will be -- even if unsuccessful.

I've been surprised that we haven't had any assassination attempts. The real disaster would be if Cheney then became president. J/K, he likes where he is just now.
