Here's the spelled out cleverness of 420Se's Aussie offering.
'Naughties' is a kid age play on the word nought* which can mean nothing or zero (*look it up your 'Fuckin Wangall' dictionary) - thus the years '01 to '09 being 'Noughties' - cheesed up as 'Naughties' for humourous intent.
So, calling the next decade 2010 -2019 ' -''Teens' (kid wise) is a natural follow on.
