I thought I would start a thread for us the coffee drinkers on the forum. To share brewing tips & such on how you make your "perfect cup 'o joe".
I will share what I have learned over the last 2 + decades from Brewers, Growers, Shop Owners & drinkers in general to make the best cup of coffee possible. I think I have closely reached this point because I have Panamains tell me I make teh best coffee they have ever had.
I will list some do's & donts, show pics of what I have & use on a daily basis. Also my recommendations for that other then ordinary(well once you start drinking better coffee this WILL become ordinary).
This will be multiple posts so please bear with me.
DO use cold filtered water or bottled water
DO use UNBLEACHED/NATURAL coffee filters
DO use WATER & WATER ONLY to rinse the components that you use to drink & brew coffee. Soap products will bind with the coffee oils & make for a less than desirable cup of coffee
DO store coffee in a SEALED container in the FREEZER
DO NOT use soap to was the coffee cups, carafe, pot, or storage containers
DO NOT buy coffee in bulk. Only buy enough coffee that you will consume in one week(well for some like me I buy BULK). Coffee sitting around for more then one week quickly looses flavor & aroma.
DO NOT mix containers for different coffees. Stick to one container per kind of coffee.
DO NOT make more then 4-5 cups of coffee at a time
DO NOT let the coffee sit around for more then 20-30 minutes
Will post more in a few. My boy just lost a tooth & we have to go to the dentist.
Back in a few.
