You could keep it out of the freezer, but in needs to be kept in a dark cool place. The only place like that I know of is the BACK of a pantry. As much as we make coffee & cook that is not an option. Our coffee only lasts about 3-4 days, so storing it in the freezer works out best.
Now we only ever use extrafine grind coffee. Doesn't matter what method we use..always extrafine.
NOW, starting with automatic drip coffee. When preparing the coffee. Add the sugar(if you use sugar) to the coffee in the UNBLEACHED filter BEFORE brewing. If making for more then one person, add the least amount of sugar per cup you will use. So if you are brewing 3 cups(normal coffee cup sizes), you use 2 teaspoons per cup & someone uses 3. You only add 6 teaspoons of sugar to the filter. This way they can add a bit more to taste. Doing it like this. I have had people that like 3 teaspoons of sugar only use ONE. The never notice they have less sugar until I tell them. Once brewed serve immediately.
If I am drinking regular drip coffee. I never use only milk. I mix about 50% evap. milk. Makes the coffee SO much smoother
Next for StoveTop Espresso
This is very basic..
When adding the coffee, just tamp down the grinds NEVER pack it. Place on high heat. I use a gas stove. I have the flame come up just around the base of the maker. This normally takes 5-7 minutes.
I use room temp bottled water for making this. But have used regular tap water & most never notice.
Next on to the French Press
Add the grinds to the press. You will need to experiment with this as the strength varies greatly
Boil the water in a kettle.
Let the water settle for a minute, then pour into the french press. Place on the top & let sit for a few minutes. Then slowly press the grinds to the bottom
Now, the cloth strainer
This is what I use the least because it is a PITA, but can produce some nice strong coffee.
Pretty simple for this one also.
Fill the desired amount of water, add coffee grinds, while stirring bring to a boil. let boil for about 1 minute. Then strain the coffee right into your cup.
