The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and that’s what I intend to reverse.

What about the majority of Democrats? Oops, I guess you can't have a majority of Democrats if so many defect to the right wing fascist view of things can you?

I have no clue why Pelosi took impeachment off the table and the Dems caved on the war budget over and over. That is one reason people are getting sick of them too.

I would think that would be obvious even to a Socialist like yourself, Pelosi couldn’t come up with enough votes, it would be seen as pure revenge for the Dems losing in 2000 and 2004, among other things. As to caving on the war vote…..they didn’t want to look like they want the US to lose another war. We know that’s a fact, because the Democrats have a corner on the loser market. Take yourself as an example.

It even makes the *real* left-wingers like Cindy Sheehan look a lot better; even they couldn't do any worse than Pelosi, Boxer, and Bush, and Mitch Mc Connell. No wonder it is in total gridlock and paralysis.

If Cindy Sheehan looks that good to you, it shows you up for what you are, an extremist. Someone that can’t be happy until EVERYTHING goes exactly the way you want.
That being the case, you should move to Russia, Putin seems to think exactly the way you do, and if you move fast enough you might be able to get in while the getting is good.

This Democratic congress has had more then one golden opportunity to freeze funding for the Iraq war, or alternatively, to approve funding conditionally. Instead, they caved like the spineless little lap dogs they are.

BINGO!

They could have done a lot of things, but as usual for politicians all they did was look out for their own good and screw the rest of us.

I second the motion. Cascade easily runs out of ideas and then runs through all of his adjectives very quickly. I wish he'd post more often because is a typical liberal and provides endless amusement for me. You know, kinda like an ant under a magnifying glass in the hot sun.

I'm pretty pleased with the way it works now.

Except I'd really like to see greater experimentation with the voting options or alternatives we've previously discussed. I'd also like to see congressional redistricting try for more natural delineation than gerrymandering to create majority party districts.
