So they get trashed by the likes of Rush and OReally and SNL and ignored by everyone else.
Oh, I don't think it's nearly as innocent as that. I believe a strong sense of self-interest factors into these things as well. The media isn't an impartial observer in our political process, it represents a handful of major players who protect themselves as much or more than any other special interest.

Thumbs down

I've heard they are big on Clinton genitals.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Well, I didn't bring up the part about which candidates also have be biggest war chests and can/will spend the most in broadcast advertising. Was saving that element for later.

There is NOTHING innocent about their decisions. It is why a Fairness Doctrine is needed. It keeps the decision making more on the level.

I'll no longer respond to your nonsense on this thread, it's a waste of bandwidth.
Cascade represents the "sputter, sputter..."suffering succatash..." wing of the Democrat party and I believe it is important that we welcome that kind of idiotic presentation out into fresh air so folks really know and never forget what it is like. The utterances being repeated like a mantra is evidence that they (and cascade) are bereft of good ideas.

Unfortunately, not challenging his bullshit creates a perception that he's right so I will continue to identify and call out the liberal tricks, games and hypocrisy on this Board. I welcome the responses.; they make me a better debater.

Hey, I represent the "fuck you" wing of the Democratic Party.

Liberals like McBare give lipservice to the free market except when it doesn't work in their political benefit. The Fairness Doctrine is dead, with a Reagan stake in its heart, but the libs are wanting its revival because their attempt to market their wacky ideas and people on Air America failed. Even with donated seed money, Air America couldn't raise the ad revenue to support itself.

So now they propose that a government agency decide what is fair. I don't see any reason why the market place can't decide what folks want to listen to. I'd rather learn from success than Democrat failure.
